Jeep Liberty Recall Expands to 347,000 Units
Owners living in states that use salt to clear snowy roads are the most likely to own an affected vehicle. In some cases, the control arms can rust and cause a crash, though Chrysler said it hasn’t learned of any accidents or injuries occurring as a result of the issue.
The original recall was announced in March and called for roughly 200,000 units manufactured from 2004 to 2005 to be recalled. Now the stroke has broadened to include cars manufactured between July 3, 2003 and June 29, 2007.
Chrysler says it will contact affected vehicle owners to bring their cars in for service free of charge but you can also contact the company directly by calling 800-853-1403.
